My real estate background began in 1984 when I went to work for Western Title Insurance Company. I began as a hand poster in the record book and doing customer service. I moved up very quickly to doing title searches and plotting easements. I then moved into escrow, running a highly successful escrow desk handling most high liability and complex transactions. I later became the Branch Manager overseeing the staff and training while maintaining a highly profitable escrow desk. Unfortunately when the real estate market declined in 2006, Fidelity Title (who bought Western Title) decided to close the office which had been the oldest title company in Hollister.
I then went to work for Stewart Title in Hollister, as an Assistant Branch Manager. My time with them was short lived as they closed their office about a year later, again to the economy.
In 2008 I decided to get my Real Estate license. Although I never considered myself a "salesperson" I knew that I had something different to bring to my clients. Namely service..great service!
Also I am a problem solver. In my many years of escrow I worked on many complex transactions such as multi-leg exchanges, fractional interest owners, etc. This has helped tremendously when working on transactions such a distressed property, probate matters, and foreclosures/short sales. I know the lender lingo, the importance of getting the lender what they want in a timely fashion and figuring out alternatives to any stumbling blocks we may hit along the way. I have a 100% closing rate on my short sales, most of it is due to perseverance..the goal is to never give up and to close the transaction in the est possible way to benefit my client.
In 2014 I was named Best Realtor by the Hollister Freelance.
I am now very proud to be called a California Real Estate Broker, it is one of my proudest acheivements.
On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Tom since 1979 and we have two daughters who attended the local schools and played sports here in Hollister. Now our two grand children attend the same local schools.
In my spare time I like to fish, camp and relax on our boat. Life is good!
